The classic booklet by Dr. Jamal Badawi. This short booklet presents the basic arguments for hijab and modest clothing as described in the Qur'an and Sunnah. It is not an exhaustive study of the subject, but presents the basics in a straightforward way.
It covers the definition of hijab/modest dress and the requirements for it, what may not be worn (i.e., perfumed clothing), and also describes the basic requirements for men's clothing. The author approaches the question from the mainstream point of view, that a woman may show her hands and face in public, and that any clothing that meets the basic requirements is acceptable.

A practical guide to what family members should do, from the time of a Muslim's death through burial. Includes a description of how to wash and shroud both male and female Muslims, how to conduct the funeral prayer, and how they should be buried. As this is published in the UK for a British audience, a few details are not as relevant to North American readers (for example, the government office one is required to report the death to), but it is still a very useful guide for Muslims in the U.S., especially those without Muslim family members or a large local Muslim community.
