Prayer Beads
Prayer beads, also called dikr beads, misbahat, or tasbih, are often used in many countries to keep count of repetitions of phrases in praise of Allah or calling on God's Names (a practice called dikr or zikr, meaning "remembrance").
Some Muslims, however, consider the use of tasbih to be bid'ah - innovation in religion - and forbid them on that basis. Nevertheless, even in places where most consider using tasbih for prayer to be a forbidden (haram) or questionable practice, the beads are commonly used as 'worry beads' or as a fashion accessory.

Green Oval Prayer Beads
$3.00
These are an attractive set of translucent green plastic beads; the color is medium emerald green. These are a bit larger in size than most of the other sets here, so they are comfortable for larger fingers. Finished with a copper twist, like the Jeweltone beads above.
We liked the look of these so well, we picked them up even though the number of beads is odd - there's 51 beads. If you're looking for a comfortable set to throw in your pocket or purse to help you remember to make dikr throughout your day, these are well suited. From Turkey.
